Rockwell Automation contacted Wellington Dock & Door Ltd. after experiencing ongoing issues with a loading dock position that sat too low, creating a safety concern during the manual operation of the dock leveller.
After evaluating the site, our team determined that modifying the dock approach was the most practical and cost-effective solution. As part of this turnkey project, we completed the entire concrete approach replacement, pouring a new pad designed to optimize the trailer’s loading position. The new approach allows trucks to sit nearly flush with the dock, significantly reducing the operating angle of the dock leveller and making loading and unloading safer and more efficient.
By managing the project from start to finish, including all concrete work, Wellington Dock & Door delivered a seamless solution with minimal disruption to the customer’s operations. The completed project improved safety, enhanced operational efficiency, and provided a long-term solution that the customer was extremely pleased with.
