Wellington Dock & Door Ltd. was proud to play a key role in the construction of the new Conestoga College Skilled Trades Campus, delivering a complete overhead door solution for one of Ontario’s premier skilled trades training facilities.
This large-scale, demanding project required close coordination with multiple trades and meticulous planning to meet strict construction schedules and quality standards. Our team supplied and installed:
- (24) Richards-Wilcox Canada 15’ x 16’ High Lift Full View Sectional Doors complete with LiftMaster Maxum operators
- (9) Richards-Wilcox Canada Rolltite Rolling Steel Doors, ranging in size from 9’ x 10’ to 25’ x 15’
- (3) 9’ x 10’ CornellCookson Fire Doors equipped with AlarmGard Plus operators, fully integrated into the building’s fire alarm system
In addition to the door installations, our in-house electrical division completed all power, control wiring, and system integration for every door throughout the facility. Our technicians also custom fabricated and welded structural components to ensure each installation met the project’s unique design and performance requirements.

Wellington Dock & Door Ltd. supplied and installed CornellCookson fire-rated rolling steel doors equipped with AlarmGard Plus operators, providing a reliable life safety solution fully integrated with the building’s fire alarm system.
Our team completed the mechanical installation of the fire doors, all electrical wiring, and seamless integration with the building’s fire alarm controls. Each door was commissioned and thoroughly tested to ensure proper operation during normal use and automatic closing in the event of a fire alarm.
The AlarmGard Plus operators provide controlled automatic closing during a fire event while maintaining reliable day-to-day operation, helping to compartmentalize the building, limit the spread of fire and smoke, and protect occupants and property. Working closely with the electrical contractor, fire alarm contractor, and project team, we ensured the system met all applicable code requirements and performed reliably as part of the building’s overall life safety strategy.
