We are currently seeking a highly motivated, career orientated individual to work out of our Kitchener facility as a Technician, repairing and installing Overhead Doors, Loading Docks, Access Control Systems and more!
Specific Skills
2 or more years of experience in the Dock & Door industry is an asset
SMAW (Stick) welding experience is a must
Sound mechanical knowledge is a must
Sound electrical knowledge is a must
Valid “G” driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
Mechanically inclined with a knowledge of hand and power tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Strong commitment to safety
Responsible For
Including but not limited to operating equipment, tools, trailers, and pickup trucks
Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment following specifications from the original equipment manufacturer
Actively participate in safety/toolbox meetings
Follow safe work and good housekeeping practices
Completion of all forms and paperwork in a timely and appropriate fashion
Understand and comply with company policies/procedures, health and safety policies/procedures and regulations
Maintain adequate levels of stock of required parts on your truck (identify and report when quantities are low and you require re-ordering
Lead Junior Technicians
Constantly improve on product knowledge to better service our Customer
Additional Requirements
Required to work in all weather conditions
Physically fit and capable of lifting 60lbs repeatedly
Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet, and climbing ladders up to 20 feet
Work “on call” as required
Complete safety training as assigned and required
Have a knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
Act in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation & Practices
Act in accordance with company safety policies/procedures and practices
