Durose Manufacturing in Guelph recently partnered with Wellington Dock & Door to upgrade their facility’s aging rolling steel doors.
The customer aimed to improve the building’s aesthetics and reduce maintenance costs, with a particular focus on enhancing heat retention as winter approaches. They were looking for an effective solution to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature while minimizing energy expenses.
We equipped this door with LASER-based motion, safety and presence sensors on both sides. These sensors have the ability to detect objects based on direction, speed, object size and height.
These sensors are highly customizable, we configured them to the customer's requirements to open the door only to a foot higher than the smaller forklifts, and fully open when larger equipment drives up, greatly improving their operational efficiency and their temperature control efficiency.
